PARENTS’ CLUB

PURPOSES AND GOALS:

·      To enhance academic excellence at San Pasqual High School

·       To provide service to San Pasqual High School

·       To promote cooperative effort between home and school

·       To help provide good communication and an interest in sound education among District Administration, San Pasqual High School teachers & staff, students, parents, and the community

PROGRAMS AND PROJECTS:

·       Fund and Operate Peer Tutoring Program

·       Manage and Fund Practice SAT Testing

·       Coordinate Academic Awards Program

·       Publish Monthly Newsletter e-mailed to all student homes

·       Compile and Maintain the School Fusion Parents’ Club pages

ACTIVITIES:

·       Serve as Parent Representative(s) to various schools and District Committees such as Site Based Committee, Curriculum Counsel, Finance Committee, Excel, GATE Advisory Board, Leadership Team, Safety Committee

·       Volunteer in classrooms, Library/Media Center, Administration Office, Counseling Department, and for special projects as needed

·       Assist with Registration and Freshman Orientation Camp. Chaperone as Exam Proctors.

Funds to support the above programs and activities are generated by the Parent’s Club through memberships, donations, and various fund raisers including the Eagle’s Nest after school snack booth.
